MEET CAPTAIN JACK R SANZALONE JR
Welcome to The Captain School Orange Beach, Alabama. I’m Captain Jack Sanzalone, I am the primary instructor for all courses. I have over 43 years of boating and leadership experience on both large and small vessels. I am also a past served president of the Maritime Education Standards Counsel (MESC).
Before The Captain School Orange Beach Alabama I spent 30 years aboard U. S. Navy Submarines as well as many other support vessels. After the Navy, I built and owned a very successful Commercial Tour Boat Business as well as a Fishing Charter Business in Southwest Florida. I was also a high school teacher in our local community.
I’m a USCG Licensed Master and USCG Assessor. I’m certified to teach a myriad of courses for the USCG including, Bridge Resource Management, The Human Elements of Leadership and Management, Crowd, Crisis, Basic Training, Advanced Firefighting. Vessel Security Officer, OUPV (Six Pack Captains License), Upgrade to Master 100 and 200, Commercial Assistance Towing and administer the Marine Radio Operators Exam which are all offered in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, AL, Mississippi and North Florida.

The Captain School Orange Beach Alabama has a proven method of instruction and has graduated hundreds of students allowing mariners to apply for a Captain's License or what is now referenced as the USCG Merchant Mariner's Credential. Serving MS, AL and North FL. We also teach Recreational Boating Education in Gulf Shores, AL. I feel strongly that each student should be taught by a maritime professional who is a certified USCG Licensed Captain and Instructor.
